Power Steering Units |
| Operation Sited in the steering position with a hand wheel fitted to the drive shaft. Pressure oil from the power pack is metered to the rudder actuator in proportion to the turns of the hand wheel. The number of turns, hard over to hard over, of the handwheel are dependant on the volume of the actuator. This type of pump has an option of dynamic load sensing which gives an element of `feel` to the helmsman at the wheel. |
